About The Event

Drawing from twenty years of experience following a Tibetan master, Sangye Dorje will teach on the core principles of the Vajrayana school of Tibetan Buddhism. In a clear, warm and open way, he will explain how to apply them to our daily lives, and live with greater compassion, awareness, and pure perception.

This talk can be attended on its own, or as a preparation for the rest of the weekend 'Living and dying in peace: An explanation of the Tibetan Book of the Dead'

Sangye Dorje

Sangye Dorje has been following the Vajrayana path since meeting his root lama, Rigdzin Namkha Gyatso Rinpoche, twenty years ago. Since then, he has been working as his main translator and personal attendant, thus receiving Rinpoche’s most precious pith instructions, oral transmissions, and ripening empowerments. Sangye Dorje has been teaching the Dharma for ten years, and was recently entrusted as Namkha Rinpoche’s representative.

Our root teacher

Namkha Rinpoche is an eminent Dzogchen master, and one of the main holders of the Dudjom Tersar lineage. Born in Tibet in a family of nagpas (ordained lay tantric practitioners), he has followed over 300 lamas and spent over 6 years in retreat. His root lamas were Dudjom Rinpoche’s own son and daughter: Thinley Norbu Rinpoche and Semo Dechen Yudron. Since arriving in the West in 1998, he has been working relentlessly to teach the precious Dharma in a most authentic way.
